The “CTA” or “Call to action” is the graphic element that is included in the design of the printed support with the aim of communicating the existence of an augmented reality experience. The clearer and more visible this communication is, the more interactors access the interactive contents and the higher the conversion ratio of the action.
Tips to create an effective CTA:
- Ensure that the CTA stands out and is not “lost” among the graphic contents.
- Tell users why they should scan, for example, to access a benefit, to watch a video or exclusive content, to play and win a prize, etc.
- Indicate what users should scan, for example, “Scan this page …”, “Scan this poster …”, “Scan this postcard …”.
- For greater clarity in the communication, include iconography along with a simple three step instructions:
- Download CamOnApp ‘,
Scan this poster,
I discovered exclusive contents! ‘
Avoid small CTAs that are outside the user’s vision area, for example, in the inner area near the center on a page of a book, or in the area near the base on a poster in a collective shelter.
Use the CamOnApp logo and include a sub-text indicating that CamOnApp is a free download application.
